1963 – Gottlieb Square Head – $1750
Tic-Tac-Toe
Square Head is a classic 1960’s pinball machine. It features five pop bumpers, four dead bumpers, and a tic-tac-toe board on the playfield with lights for X and O scoring. Unique lighting allows each square on the board to be illuminated as an X or O.
As with most of the Gottlieb games from the early to mid 1960’s it features the great, clean artwork of Roy Parker. The backglass depicts a wacky construction scene with interior decorators painting the scene and carrying tools while the main character carries a plank of wood on his head. Two kids play marbles in the center of the glass.
This game is in excellent condition. The backglass is nearly mint. The cabinet is very clean and the paint is bright. The playfield is in very good shape with only a little wear around the pop bumpers (but not into the colored section of the playfield).
Square Head is an add-a-ball game. Each game starts with five balls, and the player earns extra balls by completing a line of X’s or O’s on the playfield. In addition, two gobble holes add a ball and 200 points when lit.
Square Head is a one-player game suitable for all ages. The game has been configured for free play. Please call or e-mail with any questions or for more photos.
