How’s Your Aim?

Williams Bonanza is a fun 1970’s rifle game featuring electronic, realistic reverberating sound for several effects including: pounding hooves, gun shots and a mine shaft explosion. This is the only Williams gun game to use a tape player for background sound of galloping and whinnying horses with an occasional gunshot/ricochet. There is also a bell for hitting the slow horse. The rifle has a spring that creates a realistc twang and flashing bulbs to give a muzzle-flash effect, as if there are hidden desperados shooting back at the player.

Williams Bonanza gameplay is based on 25 shots per game (35 after a certain point level). The game features targets in depth at various levels. There is a fast horse that goes across the top back of the scenery, a slow horse that moves across the middle of the scenery, bobbing desperados that pop up across the bottom of the scenery, fixed targets and an exploding mine shaft.

When lit, the treasure mine is worth 300 points. Hitting the mine creates a red flash mine explosion. Extra shots are awarded if the player gets to a set point level.
